KHOWARI
KKhowari is a non-profit project founded by Fakhr-e-Alam. It aims to document and archive the history and literature of Chitral. Chitral, originally Chetrar, is the northern most district of Pakistan which has a distinguished history and culture. The name of the website “Khowari” denotes the people who speak Khowar, a language spoken by more than half million Khows living in Chitral and in some areas of Gilgit-Baltistan adjacent to Chitral.
Khowari will be a hub of scholarly materials related to Chitral, Khow (the people of Chitral) and Khowar, the language spoken here to benefit general readers and scholars having interest in the subject.
