In 1923, Aga Khan III, Sir Sultan Muhammad Shah despatched a mission to the remote areas of Central Asia like Chitral, Gilgit, Hunza, Kashgar & Badakhshan to access his spiritual followers i.e., the Ismailis, and make neccessary reforms in the community. The mission was headed by Pir Sabz Ali, an Ismaili missionary accompanied by Ramzan Ali as his secretary among others. This monograph consists of the account of the journey narrated by both Sabz Ali & Ramzan Ali.
