Later he was a member of Lloyd George\u2019s war cabinet and Foreign Minister from 1919 to 1924. The pieces collected here are taken from two volumes of Curzon\u2019s essays, Tales of Travel (1923) and Leaves from a Viceroy\u2019s Notebook (published posthumously in 1926).
